To quote from Words of Wisdom, Ecclesiastes 5:2 “Let thy words be few”. Keeping with that theme, I’d like to tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Evelyn Popiel, and I am a grade 12 student attending Arnprior District High School. My two biggest passions are music and drama; I play the piano, the guitar, and sing, and I have acted in several school plays and musicals. When I’m not ‘expressing’ myself through acting and music, I can be found carrying out student council responsibilities, planning prom committee events, attending Gay-Straight Alliance meetings, hanging out with friends, or watching my all time favourite television show, Glee. I like to give back through charity work; this winter I organized a winter clothing drive to collect clothing for underprivileged kids in my community, and I have also been involved in other community and international fundraising efforts.
