This is the end of the most incredible weekend ever…. I have met some of the most amazing people – the delegates are beautiful, fun, talented and I am so lucky to have met them. The organizers! WOW… so full of energy, helpful and supportive. I didn’t know what to expect from this experience, but I am so thankful that I stepped out of my comfort zone and attended! The weekend was packed full of rehearsals, some appearances (we actually were transported to an event via white stretch limo – now that was impressive), photo shoots, preliminary judging and lots of fun activities. The food was amazing, particularly our dinner Saturday night at our host restaurant; BOBSLEDZ Smoke House & Pub and the incredible meals cooked by the incredible “Pixie” on the Pageant Committee. The Judges were all so nice and made us feel comfortable during the dreaded Interview. Pageant Day came so quickly and it was so exciting. We were whisked to the hall by our Chaperones and immediately started our hair and makeup sessions. Now that was fun! Then it was SHOW TIME!
I was so happy to see so many of my friends and family here – I could hear them all as I did every part of the pageant. I was not expecting to win the Interview award, and when they called my name – it took a little bit for it to sink in that they had called my name!
They Crowned the 2nd runner-up and the 1st runner-up, and after they called Bailey and Delaney’s names, I was standing there trying to figure out who had won – not imagining it was me! I was absolutely shocked, thrilled and proud to win Miss Teen Ontario East, and be chosen as the representative for this area. It is a moment in my life that I will never, ever forget.
